Product:

• Dechlorinator (included with purchase of BioCritters)
• Nylon Mesh Bag (included with purchase of BioCritters)
• 4 cups BioCritters per 55-gallons water
• 2 cups BioBooster per 55-gallons water

Ideal Conditions:

• Water Temperature of 83º F.
• pH of 7-8
• Dissolved Oxygen (DO) level of 2-3 ppm

Equipment You Will Need:

• Clean, standard 55-gallon drum (If you are using a larger tank, the proportions remain the same - 4 cups of BioCritters and 2 cups of BioBooster for every 55-gallons of water.)
• 300-gallons-per-hour or a 1,200 gph submersible pump, optional. (Sometimes there is no access to electricity in the field. While using the pump is ideal, it is not imperative. BioCritters will work fine without it.)

The pump mixes the solution and generates heat, which provides the near-ideal temperature of 83º F. We recommend either the 300 gph or the 1,200 gph submersible pumps manufactured by Little Giant. These and similar products are readily found at hardware stores. You should be able to buy a quality pump for under $100.

• PVC pipe cut to run from the discharge end of the pump to 6-8 inches above water level (The water shooting out will create a small fountain effect, which aerates the mixture.)

Preparing the Microbes:

1. Put 50 gallons of water into the 55-gallon drum.
2. Add the dechlorinator.
3. Attach the PVC pipe to the discharge outlet in the pump.
4. Submerge the pump and turn it on.
5. Add 2 cups BioBooster to the water.
6. Put 4 cups BioCritters into the mesh nylon bag.
7. Put the nylon mesh bag of BioCritters into the water.

The BioCritters solution will be ready when the mixture looks milky and translucent. Also, the solution will smell pungently sweet. There may be a lot of froth.

The same carbon BioCritters can be used again for your second inoculation. After mixing up your first batch of BioCritters, store the nylon mesh bag of BioCritters in a dry place.

For the Second Inoculation:
For the second inoculation, repeat the process, using the same nylon mesh bag of BioCritters you used for the first inoculation. Remember to add 4 cups of BioBooster to the water. Two inoculations, 30-40 days apart, are ideal. After mixing your second batch of BioCritters, discard the bag of product.
